Wow Faithful,

May 30 will go into the history books as a killer, crazy day and night in the history of Faith in the Fallen!

We’ll start with the bad news – The Genesee Theatre Battle of the Bands also hosted by 103.9 the Fox: We didn’t win, unfortunately.  But an incredible time was had.  What a venue, amazing staff, great bands sharing the stage, and THE FANS!!  We had a great showing of FITF fans who came in on the bus or used their own petrol.   The winner was a band called The Clowder.  They are based in Elgin and were a bunch of really nice guys.  In fact, they were doing some killer harmonies in the dressing room before the show began.      A different style — not the hard rock you love — but they played some great tunes.   Look out for them.  Happy for you guys! Have a great time at Summerfest.

The Good News: Despite the loss–FITF felt great about our 10 minutes.  We rocked the house and got a great response from the fans and judges.    We were amazed by the show of support of our friends and family who came far and wide to support us.  They were loud and proud.   Big ups to our friends at Dalton’s Irish Pub, who were one of our party bus sponsors–and a special thanks t0 Cheezer and Dan Dalton for collecting donations on behalf of FITF for the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s Camp I Am Me.    Despite not winning the $1000 donation through the battle, we were able to raise close to $600 in support of the camp.    And since we didn’t have to play in the finals, our party bus fans took the opportunity to listen to an exciting 2 periods of hockey before being able to watch the hawks clinch their Stanley Cup Finals Birth  in the comfort of Dalton’s Pub.    It was a great environment to return to.

Thank you to Colleen and the Genessee Theatre for having us and to 103.9 the Fox for promoting on the radio.

So pictures– wanna see em?  We got plenty.  Thanks to Tommy Quirk for coming to the show and taking some amazing shots -here are a couple.  You can check out more on the Facebook album.
